This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Bluepine Company (collectively, “Bluepine”, “we”, or “us”) collects, uses, and discloses personal information about individuals who use our websites (“Site”), our software application, or who receive household management services from us or Bluepine’s employees (collectively with the Site, our “Services”).

PERSONAL INFORMATION DEFINED

In this Policy, “Personal Information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with you or another natural person. Personal Information does not include information that is publicly available as defined by applicable privacy legislation or information that is anonymized.

SCOPE OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy explains how we process your Personal Information when you engage with Bluepine or otherwise use Bluepine’s Services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any information we collect from any other source unless we disclose to you that this Privacy Policy applies to the information we collect from that source.

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect Personal Information that you provide us when you post or transmit content using the Services (including any text, graphic, audio, video, or other content), respond or subscribe to surveys, questionnaires, or newsletters, or otherwise use or access the Services. The information you provide may include your name, address, phone number, email address, company name, job title, IP address, your social media profiles, content of messages transmitted to us via the Services, and other information that personally identifies you or can otherwise be linked to you.  If required by applicable law, we will seek your explicit consent to process such information collected on this website or volunteered by you. 

When you access or use the Services, we may send one or more cookies – small files – to your computer or other device. We may be able to uniquely identify your browser with such cookies. We may use session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies provide information to us while your browser is open. Persistent cookies provide information to us after you close your browser and later re-open it. If you disable cookies in your browser, some features of the Services may not function. In general, our Services use cookies: where necessary to run our Services, to optimize the functionality of our Services, including by personalizing content for you and remembering your preferences, for analytics purposes, and to deliver advertisements relevant to you. We may also record certain information that your device sends or makes available whenever you use or access the Services. Such information may include your location, your device and its specifications, your referring page or service and URL, IP address, browser type and language, operating system specifications, pages viewed, the time you spend on each page, the order in which you view pages, the date and time of your use or access, the exit page or service and URL, application crashes, and similar information.

We may also use technology such as web beacons and clear gifs to track your use of and access to the Services. We may also use this technology in emails we send to you to track whether you opened the email.

If you login to the Services through a social networking site, we may collect an authentication token related to that social networking site and account identification number and use that information to provide you with access to your account on the Services.

Currently, Bluepine does not support the Do Not Track browser setting.

HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We use collected information, and share collected information with our affiliates, other businesses, suppliers, vendors, licensors, and agents, to the extent necessary to operate, maintain and provide the features and functionality of the Services, including to:

• respond to and process customer and provider inquiries;
• alert you to new features and functionality, or to products and services offered by us or by third parties;
• provide personalized content and information;
• monitor the effectiveness of our marketing activity;
• enforce this Privacy Policy; and
• monitor aggregate use of and access to the Services.

If you provide a rating or review about a service provider you engaged through the Services, we may post your first name, the initial of your last name, and the name of your town along with your rating or review on the service provider’s profile on the Services. Service providers may use your ratings and reviews, as well as this personal information about you, for their own marketing.

We may also disclose collected information if we believe disclosure is required to comply with applicable law, or to protect us or the Services.

All Personal Information we collect may be transferred to another company in the event of a sale, merger, or other acquisition of some or all of our assets or business or as part of the negotiation or evaluation of such sale, merger, or other acquisition.

Please note that you may withdraw your consent to use and/or disclose your personal information at any time, subject to certain restrictions prescribed by applicable law. However, if you do so, we may not be able to provide certain services to you.

INFORMATION RETENTION & SECURITY

We take the protection of your personal information seriously.  Bluepine retains your personal information for only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise authorized by law. 

We protect such information against loss and theft as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, and modification using security safeguards, including physical, organizational, and technological measures, commensurate with the sensitivity of such information.  Employees who have access to your information are made aware of the importance of keeping it confidential.

Where we use service providers or otherwise disclose your personal information to unaffiliated third parties in accordance with this Privacy Policy, we require them to have privacy and security standards that are comparable to ours.  We use contracts and other measures with such persons to maintain the confidentiality and security of your personal information and to prevent it from being used for any other purpose.

Please be aware that no data security measures can guarantee 100% security.  You should also take steps to protect against unauthorized access to information.

TARGETED ADVERTISING, SALES, AND SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Bluepine does not sell personal information in exchange for money, however some ways we share personal information for targeted advertising may be considered “sales” or “sharing” under U.S. state privacy laws. We may share your contact information and details about your property for purposes of advertising.

The types of third parties to which personal information is shared are third-party advertisers and some analytics vendors. The purposes for this include marketing, advertising, certain types of analytics, or similar purposes. If you would like to opt out, please see the information below.

THIRD PARTY LINKS

We may offer links to other sites from the Services. We have no control over these external sites or their content and are not responsible for any actions that they may take or any information they may collect. You may arrive at such sites through clicking on an image or graphic, as part of a co-branding arrangement, or simply by selecting a link on another website. You should be aware that this Privacy Policy does not apply to your use of these sites and services. If you provide any information to such sites or services, different rules regarding the collection and use of your information and other information may apply. Before using these linked sites or services, you may wish to review their privacy policies to understand how they treat privacy, security, data collection, disclosure, distribution, and use.

MINORS

We do not collect any information from anyone under 16 years of age. The Services we offer are all directed to people who are at least 16 years old or older. If you are under the age of 16, you are not authorized to use the Services.

YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS

You may contact support@bluepineapp.com to update, correct, or delete your Personal Information. You may also update, correct, and delete some of your Personal Information through your account on the Services.
